Welcome to the illustration and surface pattern design portfolio of Dana Batho, the artist and designer of Peacock & Fig. I am influenced by vintage design and art, and sometimes add a side of sass to my hand lettering projects. I specialize in botanical-based surface pattern designs and spot illustrations, and I adore the home decor market (particularly wallpaper) and stationery such as greeting cards. I create predominantly using digital software such as Procreate, but also work in a mix of digital and analog media such as watercolour, dip ink pens, and Adobe Illustrator. Some of my favourite design eras are the Arts & Crafts Movement, Art Nouveau, and the Victorian era. I am also a lover of the Hollywood Regency Glam interior design aesthetic, which I explain as “Versailles meets IKEA meets drag queens.”
For a complete list of shows that I have exhibited in, as well as my press features and publications please visit the Peacock & Fig press page. Fabric, wallpaper, and other products that can be purchased with my art can be found on the home decor page. To find out more about me, please visit my about page. The below illustrations and patterns are available for licensing, but represent only a portion of my full portfolio available. Please contact me to see more available designs that may suit your needs.
