Colour Confidence in Embroidery by Trish Burr is a lovely book that will help you learn how to use colour effectively in embroidery, such as by using contrast, light, and shadow. And, it will inspire you as well, it’s just so beautiful and informative.

Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality, and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. I would never recommend something I wouldn’t use myself. 🙂
Included are 12 step-by-step projects to represent each colour group that Trish has made, plus a thirteenth project of the Sacred Kingfisher as an inspirational piece. Examples of each project and materials, prep, techniques, tools for selecting colour, etc are all covered in the book as well. In the colour combinations section, there are over 175 stitched samples to choose from, all using DMC colours.
As you can tell by the video review, there are so many pros to the book, but the only con is having too many stunning projects you want to do… like that’s a bad thing… 😂😍 If you decide to pick it up, I do hope you enjoy it! ❤️
